fotografenlehre bei w.s.eberle, stationen bei max roth, h.p mühlemann, studio maur. werbe-und modefotograf bei jelmoli und sepp meyer. seit 1989 selbständig. intensive auseinandersetzung mit digitaler fotografie. bis ende 2008 bildbearbeitung für pixlerei.
seit 1996 verfolge ich eigene projekte. bis mitte 2008 arbeitete ich mit mittelformat-kameras (6x7 cm) und negativfilmen, welche ich einscannte. seither sind glücklicherweise handliche digitalkameras mit brauchbarer auflösung erhältlich. mein augenmerk richte ich auf die details des alltäglichen und die inszenierungen des lichtes/wetters. gerne halte ich die menschen aus meinen bildern heraus und begnüge mich mit deren spuren. land- and cityscapes, eher etwas distanziert betrachtet. oder menschen erscheinen selbst als teil der landschaft. die fotos sind betrachtungen, nicht wertend und lassen platz für eigene gedanken des betrachters und der betrachterin.
I have been pursuing my own projects since 1996. until mid year 2008 I worked mainly with a middle format camera ( 6 x 7 cm ) and negative film, which I have scanned. Now my images are mainly taken with a high resolution digital camera. My focus is directed to the detail of everyday life and the dramatization of nature, weather and lights. I prefer to keep the people out of my photos but not their visible traces. unless the people become the landscape themselves.
